You performed your record in a swimming pool, but is it possible to obtain the same result in a lake or the sea?
Yes, it is possible in any freshwater or saltwater basin. Even preparing for rough seas allowed me to feel more stable in flat water conditions (which I obviously recommend for the official test).
In fact, I trained both at sea and in the pool: at the seaside at the Maestrale club, at the end of the children's lessons, someone would stay to help me with the stopwatch, out of curiosity or to cheer: they were fantastic!
Or in the swimming pool at the Bari Water Park when I had a couple of free hours in the afternoon and I was with my son Francesco, we alternated games with technical turning tests.
Stand Up Paddle, a sport, a lifestyle, wellbeing, fitness, relaxation. Who would you recommend practicing Stand Up Paddling and why?
I recommend this sport to anyone, adults and children. In the first known case, already at the first lesson at sea, the amazement of the older ones (who perhaps know our seafront well) in finding themselves walking with a paddle, gives a new perspective and in the open sea gives a great sense of freedom.
In the second case, I could talk about my start with the sea: as a child it helped me in approaching my peers and at school by improving organization and concentration, I learned that if I wanted to achieve something I had to work hard. Resources that have also served me in a work environment other than sports, as well as the ability to choose and divide tasks; to focus on concrete, not too long-term goals, achieve them and then focus on the next ones.
