PHASE 1

Like all maneuvers, having good speed certainly helps. But beware, speed is nothing without control, so train so that your speed equals your control. We are abeam, and we are passing all the windsurfers who are planted in the middle of the sea looking for some good gusts. The feet can be inside the straps or outside the straps, this is another magical aspect of the wingfoil.

PHASE 2

Let's start setting up the curve. Where do we move the weight? backwards? NO! There is no room for the shy, if we shift the weight back the foil will take off out of the water and you will refresh your ideas a bit.

The weight must absolutely be shifted forward and on the toes. In this way the foil will start to spin. Simultaneously with this, start tilting the Leading Edge down slightly, rotating it. In this sequence I touch the water with the end, considering that I had a 6.0 wing Bora V2, which made me slow down a bit. The best thing would be not to touch the water.

PHASE 3

As you can see, under the amazed eyes of a windsurfer who seemed painted with a 7.5, I continue to maintain an absolutely inclined position towards the inside of the curve, always putting pressure on the tips. The wing is now angled in such a way that it is absolutely neutral and comfortable to roll. Feel bounds, without mast foot, without thoughts!

PHASE 4

Continuing to fly (you didn't think the painting had moved, did you? ) I move my wing back slightly, almost to make it disappear. Weight always on the toes.

PHASE 5

Still keeping the Wing back, I now push lightly with my back hand to help the rotation. In this case I have to help her as I had lost some speed by touching a tip in the water.

PHASE 6

It is forbidden to let go and have doubts. Now the wind is pushing the back of the wing, so I have to fight it. If the wing is designed well, and this 2023 wing Bora V2 is well designed, it will remain stable without throwing you off balance. I keep pushing with my back hand, and don't pull!

PHASE 7

We are in a crucial phase, I continue to push with the back hand, while with the front one I start to "thread" the leading edge into the wind again. I must say that the leading edge of the Bora V2 wing has a reduced diameter compared to the previous model, and penetrates the wind much better.

PHASE 8

We are in the final phase, the painting reappears, always there to point me in the right direction. Now it's time to pull again with the back hand, to catch the wind and get going again!

PHASE 9

Here we are, back to back again. Two pumps and off we go, towards the next manoeuvre.

P.S. During this session, the intensity of the wind was around 10/12 knots, while the wing was a Bora V2 6.0 with rigid handles. I hope that windsurfers understood (I am too) that we were joking, the wind was very light!

Enjoy the wing, enjoy all the watersports and #flyreptile
