Spending afternoons measuring the curvature of windsurfing masts might seem like a mundane task, but for Andrea Cella, Ceo Reptile and materials technology expert, it became the starting point for a revolutionary discovery in the windsurfing world.

The Pursuit of Excellence: Andrea Cella patiently dedicated his afternoons to precisely measuring the curvature of windsurfing masts. This meticulous attention to detail allowed him to discern the subtle differences between masts and develop a deep understanding of their characteristics.

The Revolutionary Idea: During one of his measurement sessions, Andrea made a surprising discovery: although the base of the RDM mast was slightly conical, the differences in curvature were minimal. From this observation sprang a bold idea: what if it were possible to create a mast with a completely cylindrical base to maximize curvature consistency?

Innovation Takes Shape: Fueled by enthusiasm for his idea, Andrea consulted his technical team to assess the feasibility of a cylindrical base for the windsurfing mast. But he didn't stop there: he also inquired whether it would be possible to create a different carbon skin lamination, allowing one end of the mast to flex more than the other. The Reptile Reverse features a perfectly crafted cylindrical base with a distinctive carbon layer. It can be attached at the top using both ends, dubbed "constant-FLEX" and "constant-HARD". Depending on the end used, one of the two desired curves is achieved.

From Concept to Reality: With the support of his team, Andrea initiated the prototyping of the Reptile Reverse mast. The top insert was incorporated, and the production process commenced with great enthusiasm and determination.

Success Through Perseverance: After several attempts and iterations, the Reptile Reverse mast finally took shape. Andrea Cella and his team achieved their goal of creating an innovative and versatile windsurfing mast, capable of revolutionizing how windsurfers experience curves and performance on the board.

The invention of the Reptile Reverse mast is not just the result of ingenuity and creativity but also of determination and perseverance in pursuing a bold idea. Thanks to Andrea Cella and his team, windsurfers worldwide can now enjoy a new level of performance and versatility on the wave and freestyle.
