The Revolutionary Idea: During one of his measurement sessions, Andrea made a surprising discovery: although the base of the RDM mast was slightly conical, the differences in curvature were minimal. From this observation sprang a bold idea: what if it were possible to create a mast with a completely cylindrical base to maximize curvature consistency?
Innovation Takes Shape: Fueled by enthusiasm for his idea, Andrea consulted his technical team to assess the feasibility of a cylindrical base for the windsurfing mast. But he didn't stop there: he also inquired whether it would be possible to create a different carbon skin lamination, allowing one end of the mast to flex more than the other. The Reptile Reverse features a perfectly crafted cylindrical base with a distinctive carbon layer. It can be attached at the top using both ends, dubbed "constant-FLEX" and "constant-HARD". Depending on the end used, one of the two desired curves is achieved.
